Don't waste time with over the counter things. If these are leaving redish scars, this is a definite medical issue. You should go to your physician or if you can, a dermotologist. The type of acne that causes scarring is caused from a bacteria such as staff or strep believe it or not and if so, you need an anitbiotic.

A doctor can help you get it under control very quickly and stop the scarring. Often acne happens not because of what you are eating but from hormone inbalances that can happen at different times of life--teens, young adult, adult stages etc.

Again, I would go straight to the doctor for this because you are worth it.

If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.

For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.

Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.
Oh, by the way the site that helped me is:

My friend used Proactive for her son and it left bleach spots on his pillow. That would scare me to death to put that on my face! I never liked the way that soap felt, all weird and all. I like to be able to slide my fingers across my face so we use liquid soap rather than bars. Too harsh and it dries your face out, too mild and it's ineffective. Look at your local Wal Mart or Dollar Store and find a face wash that says it evens out the ph of your skin. Neutral is 6.5 or 7 if I remember right. Then a gentle astringent. For problem spots where you get the "white heads" or painful pimples..........tooth paste. It sounds nuts, but I use it and so do my kids. It is gentle and it pulls the "ick" out. For black heads, I have heard that, this is crazier, use Elmer's glue like a face mask and peel it off. Like Biore pads, I suppose. I haven't used it but I think my girls are ready to try anything! And keep your hands and hair off your face. Hair naturally transmits oils from your scalp and your hands are breeding grounds for germs and bacteria. So if you are wearing glasses or have an itchy nose because of allergies or whatever, that's a high traffic area. HANDS OFF

its very likely nothing to do with what u eat, this is like an old wives tale! i had the same, and found even though creams that u put on ur skin can work, they irritate the skin and make it red, what is better is stopping them from forming in the first place! it is likely ur spots are caused by hormones, so go get urself some dianette from the doctor. it is a contraceptive pill that blocks the spot causing hormone, it clears ur skin completely, worked for me! good luck!

wash your hands.

when you feel a zit coming (tenderness, redness, swelling), smear some toothpaste lightly over the areaas soon as you can and let it dry. after a bath, apply lightly again. repeat till the zit is gone-usually in 1-3 days

also good handwashing and don't touch your face since your hands harbor lots of bacteria.

touching and popping your zits leaves scars so don't touch your face.
