It can be treated.. it cant be cured..

Allergey tablets arent going to do a thing, that I know of.. Betnovate is a topical steriod.. which is used for psorisis

I've done it all.. from UV Light to kenalog site injections to methotrexate.. currently use clobetasol propionate.. dosent make it go away but makes it managable (they wont give me the site injections anymore)

Do see a dermatologist rather than a general MD though..

hey i have eczema/atopic dermatitis which isn't exactly the same as psoriasis but having had this condition since i was a kid, think i can pass on some wise words. The cause of many skin conditions including psoriasis is not fully understood - some think that its either a disorder of excessive growth and reproduction of skin cells or that its an immune-mediated disorder in which the excessive reproduction of skin cells is secondary to factors produced by the immune system. For this reason, I've found it useful to take a holistic approach. I find that stress and climate changes make my skin worse so I try to meditate & take care with what I wear - only natural fabrics and what creams I put on my skin. I also try to have a healthy diet (although no-one can prove a direct link - I know that for me personally processed foods and alcohol can make my skin react if it's already a bit sensitive), I think its worthwhile looking at allergy management in a lot of cases as well...I use topical steroid creams and antihistamine to manage flare-ups but I find the best thing is to find a good shower cleanser, good facial cleanser and moisturise several times a day to try to stop your skin flaring up. The other thing you should do is find a good doctor who is willing to trial things with you and really listen - if you're like me you might have an 'atopic' type of skin condition - this means that even stuff that works to help my skin can become 'resistant' over time and stop working! So you'll need a good doctor who'll understand this and who'll help you try to figure out a different treatment if necessary. As far as 'alternative' treatments go, I say try to find a doctor who's not going to just stick you on drugs and think they've solved the problem - especially since oral cortisone for example while you're on it stops your body producing its own cortisone so it should be used as a last resort (only if your skin is in crisis). At the same time though, if your skin flares up to a certain level, drugs can be necessary just to bring it to a level where your everyday treatments (like moisturiser etc) actually work. Try to understand as much as you can about your condition so you're informed when you go to the doctor and can explain your condition and ask the right questions. Good luck!
