Trust me on this one, for I have experienced chronic mental fatigue. Sleep and eating right doesn't always relieve mental fatigue. But there is one thing you can do to demonstrate to yourself that mental fatigue can be relieved rather quickly, and you will be surprised. It is so simple, yet so unknown to many people. It is called palming.

Palming is like rubbing your hands for 10-20 seconds to warm them up then slightly cupping your hands and gently placing the palms of your hands over your eyes without applying pressure. Correct palming is done with the fingers of one hand overlapping the fingers of the other hand and the fingertips meeting at or near the hairline of your forehead. Try it for 3-5 minutes with eyes closed, while imagining the spilling of black ink (to try to make the background as black as possible). Then remove your hands and if you've done this correctly without straining, you'll notice your eyes feel way more relaxed, thus temporarily relieving mental fatigue. Even only a minute or two of palming can have a refreshing effect on the muscles and nerves of the eye which go to the optic nerve, an extension of the brain.

You can do repeated palming during the day and you can even try palming for 30 minutes along with the visualization of black ink spilling. The warmer the hands are while palming, the better. The more you do it, the more results you will get and mental fatigue will eventually disappear. Try it, what have you to lose? It is amazingly efficient.

Try to learn to relax at night before going to bed, like watch a funny movie, or listen to relaxing music, go out with some friends and have some fun, instead of staying home and working all of the time. Try not to worry about every little thing, cause you can not control every thing that is going on in your life or the world, so what good does that do but make you mental fatigue, when all you do is worry. So try to have some fun, eat good, and get some good sleep, and enjoy yourlife some. And if you can not do that go and get into therapy so they can help you to learn to do that.

Besides eating nutritious food and on time, sleep is a must. This would surely help in coming out of mental fatigue. Plan your schedule for the day daily and do just what is humanly possible and not more than that.

I agree, actual fatigue you are able to recover from interior of a few days of relax and proper eating yet psychological fatigue can take weeks, months, or in some severe situations years to recover from. I continuously be afflicted by psychological fatigue and that's having very undesirable outcomes on my artwork and the subject is i've got not got any time to take off which purely makes it worse. the only element that prevents the fatigue from transforming into a melancholy is my infant females and my spouse.

First of all, you need lots and lots of rest. Than, you may start changing the way you eat. You must try to eat fruits and vegetables, and meat at least twice a week. After a period of intense learning or stressful working, you might also try to go on vacation for a week or two, somewhere in the countryside, seeside or where ever you like it. If it doesn't get any better after that, post this question again.

Keep on a routine - going to work, taking care of the house/family. Also excercise is proven to increase energy. Go outside & walk. OK - it's cold - go to a gym and walk on the treadmill! Do games or take lessons or something to get and keep your brain active. Get enough sleep but make yourself get up & going in the morning. Eat healthy - bad food weighs you down physically and mentally. Make an effort to smile & laugh - it releases good endorphines. And last but not least - go do something for someone else. It's good for the soul.
