I love to wear high heels everyday and one of my friends made a comment to me that I may get spider veins later in life because of the heels. Is this true or is this a myth?

For some might be true and for others it is a myth. And that's because spider veins are transmitted genetically in most cases. So if your mother, your grandmother or any other close relative of yours has it, than you might have this genetic predisposition. And, anyway, high heels aren't the cause. You may as well wear normal shoes and get spider veins if you have this genetic predisposition. I live in Romania, and I can assure you that this type of rumour is a very common one. I also heard it when I was a teenager and I understand how you feel about his matter, and that's why I advise you to ask this type of question to a doctor, even though you might think your question is too ordinary.

When I turned 28 I already had been in pain, embarrassed, and scared of becoming pregnant. I didn't want my big blue varicose veins to get worse. The All Natural Varicose & Spider Vein Solution program was an easy read and easy to do. Within 21 days there was a big difference in how my legs looked and I can wear shorts without feeling embarrassed. I feel so much better with more energy and for giving me back a healthier body, and the legs that a 28 year old should have.

High heels can affect the overall function of the veins in your legs. They can cause the vein walls to swell, and if they swell, the circulation is affected thus possibly causing spider veins to appear. I wouldn't say that high heels alone can cause spider veins. There are a lot of factors that contribute to a person getting spider veins. You can learn more about spider veins at http://www.veinhealth.org/
