The specialist ratings were just being converted when I got out of uniform.

All the specialist ranks are no more, with the exception of Specialist 4. Log onto e bay, and see if you can find it there.

try ebay or Medals of America (they put out a catalog with all kinds of military badges, ranks, ribbons, all all sorts of other things). Good luck!
