Allow me to add that if an attorney, broker or others are involved, federal conspiracy charges can be brought, and if tax benefits are sought during the course of the sham marriage, federal tax violations might also apply. The US is focusing more and more on sham marriages, to the point of de-naturalizing citizens who previously acquired US citizenship through fraud.

i'm assuming you mean..in a scam type of way? like your previous question?
er...nothing? the citizen should be loyal enough to not even be tempted by such a foolish offer. it shouldn't take more than a split second to respond with 'no.' to me...it's so NOT even an option that i don't even see it as offensive...it's just silly to even ask!
