I just moved in with my boyfriend. If you have any opinions and advice please tell me. But my question is since we were dating for a while and i just moved in last weekend we're still in that "new" stage. where we tiptoe around each other, trying to not get in the way of each other, be too demanding, etc. How do we feel comfortable with each other faster?

there is no answer to that except time. I have been living with my boyfriend-turned-fiance for 7 months and it just took time to start asking each other to do laundry, take out trash, or even stop being embarassed about #2 in the bathroom, haha. Just keep your sense of humor and be open to roomie discussions and you'll be alright. It's ok to approach household duties as business.. like hold a meeting to designate duties or discuss feelings you have as a roommate, not as a girlfriend.. after all, you're roommates just as much as you're romantic partners..one can't work without the other

good luck!

My question to you is...exactly how long have you known your boyfriend? You should make sure you are completely comfortable with one another; before moving in with one another. BUT since you didn't...than I would suggest that the two of you sit down together and have a lengthy one on one about your likes and dislikes and just keep learning. This won't be easy all the time; but hopefully noone gave you the idea that it would be. Noone is perfect...just keep telling yourselves that.

The best way is to communicate openly. Period. Especially if something is bothering you. i.e. He leaves his socks on the floor, doesn't wash dishes, etc... You have to be tactful about it, of course, especially if you moved into what was once his place. But don't let minor annoyances brew up inside of you until they explode into a senseless argument. Just keep things open, honest, and respectful. The comfort should then just fall into place.

Be yourself. You moved in together, so you are obviously comfortable with each other. Be who you normally are.
