CS Lewis wrote that the most important thing to God is sincerity and integrity. Not only do I think atheists can get into heaven, but I think it is a good thing to be an atheist if you genuinely don't have faith, meaning I think a person is better off accepting their atheism than going through the motions of being a Christian without really believing it. I truly believe God wants sincerity from you. But as many passages as you've given, there are also many which say that salvation is found through Christ alone. This is why there are so many Christians who think that wrong belief will result in damnation. But I think these passages can also be applied to good deeds and love itself - as there is no good or love that is not of God, and so you allow God to work through you when you are charitable and loving, even if you don't accept Him. I don't speak for any other Christians, however.

it doesnt say in the Bible any one is going to heaven ... there is no verse that claims ppl will be in heaven... Revelations is very clear that God will make His home on earth with man ... and a "soul " in biblical terms is a "living being" man or animal ....
it does not differentiate ..... ( also, there is no such thing as an immortal soul ) Biblically speaking ... the two words never show next to one another

ok. let's take a good look at what we're saying. we're saying pets have souls. I don't agree. In the bible somewhere it says that the soul comes from God and that he wants this soul back in the condition he gave it to us so that he can build his kingdom with it. it is my belief that this soul is our spiritual conscience. why would an animal need a spiritual conscience?

Even if it says in the Bible that they don't, pets do have souls. They will go to heaven.

Confusion here. Spirit and soul are two different things. God blew into Adam's nostrils and he became a living soul. Your Spirit is your breath of life. We you die your Spirit goes back to God, but your soul waits in hell (the grave) until Jesus' return. Don't take my word. Study what the words mean. Spirit and Soul.

Animals do not have Spirits.

Well, pets have souls but go to a different place. Cat heaven and such. As for you, well, you can make choices, unlike animals who are overrun by instinct.

Hi Betty, it's nothing personal. Nothing in the bible says anything about animals going to heaven.

Don't think it isn't my heart's desire to see mine there, though, because it surely is.
