Did our involvement in Iraq go the way you thought it would? What could we have done different?

I thought it was a mistake to invade Iraq before we had created a functioning government in Afghanistan and captured Osama bin Laden. Afghanistan is as much of a basket case now as it was when we entered it. The Taliban are back, armed to the teeth with money raised from heroin poppies. Now, we have two battles to fight instead of one.

I was misled that there were WMDs in Iraq. I was told that Americans will be greeted as liberators. That the oil will pay for the war. Gas will go down.................................................
It was a mistake going to Iraq. Bin Laden should have been caught by now had it not been for the war in Iraq.

It was a wrong move to go to iraq......if the forces and firepower was concentrated in afghanistan, nato would not have been called into the fight.....the war would have been over now and bin landin would have been eating two months old buggers in gwantano.
Well the course cannot be reversed we have to finish what we started...bush or no bush. Deal with it.

It went better than I thought it would due to the fine people we have serving in uniform. The Executive office has been a total failure, and continues to act like a child that need supervision and punishment.

we should have carpet bombed the country into oblivon for
a couple months..then invaded...would have beena far different
and humble people...
