I don't believe there is a place called Heaven in the way that Christians believe in it. (And I certainly don't believe in the existance of Hell or Satan!) HOWEVER, I do believe there is another plane of existance (for lack of a better term, since no one truly knows), and that this plane is a place where all TRULY good people of ALL religions go to when they die. And I hope that we'll be reunited with our pets as well.

I've actually heard a bit of anecdotal evidence that supports this. Some folks who've had near-death experiences say they remember seeing, hearing and/or feeling their deceased pets again. Whether or not near-death experiences offer a glimpse of another plane of existance, no one can prove. So I guess we just have to think positively! :) There's certainly no harm in that!

I know I'm not supposed to answer, but that's because you know what I think, so how about I do it from the position the book is true.

They do not have 'souls' and they can not accept Jesus. That makes me think not. Sure you can say that they do not have the ability to accept Jesus because of their intelligence, so they get a free pass like babies and mentally ill, but then all pets/animals would have to go. Are you going to take care of Atheist Kitty in heaven? I just don't see how anything in there would justify it.

Ecclesiastes 3 21 Who knows the spirit of the sons of men, which goes upward, and the spirit of the animal, which goes down to the earth?

Nope,,,, so enjoy them now cause when they are gone they are gone..... be nice to them they could come back (ghost pet) and bite you in the a-s.

Would be a nice dream, I have had many of good pets, (dogs) over the years and would enjoy reliving the good times they brought me.

Thanks for the question, It has brought back my pets (in my mind for a few moments) some thing you don't think about much in this rat race world of just staying alive to pay taxes,

I don't know. I hope so - I really grew attached to my pets - except for a dog I once had that used to pull my laundry off the clothes line and bury it - we had to give him away because we could not break him of the habit. I had a really great cat once, but I digress ...

Given the Christian god's obvious disdain for our freewill, probably the ONLY creatures that meet his standards for admittance to heaven are animals that have no moral agency. Fluffy will smile down on you as you baste in hell, no doubt.

Sure, why not. I am not an atheist, nor am I a religious or spiritual person, but I try to have an open mind about things.
