I'm addicted to chocolate and litterally go crazy when I want it but dont have it. I get a little hyper when I eat chocolate even if its a little bit. Trust me I've tried quitting but it only lasted like 2 er 3 days before I had to eat some more. Its really hard to concentrate in school when I'm hyped up on sugar so my grades are dropping badly. I sometimes eat chocolate to calm myself when I'm stressed or nervous so I HAVE to keep EMERGENCY CHOCOLATE in my backpack at all times. I may sound weird but its what I call addiction. So please help me break this habit.
Thank You

It might not just be chocolate thats the problem, but the sugar. I know its hard but set yourself to a sugarfree diet. Instead of making a list of all the foods you cant have, create a list of all the foods you CAN have (go to the grocery store and find products in the health food aisle apart from fruits, veggies, sugar free popsicles etc....) once you really have sugar eliminated from your body (its gonna take a couple weeks to detox) you'll notice that chocolate isnt as much of a problem.
I understand, Im the same way. I can be really good and then I just *need* it. Sometimes it also helps to look at it like a drug addiction. If I look at it like cocaine I can steer away from it, just because it has the same pschcological effects, and Id like to think I could kick an addiction (although I know its not so easy).
Also, I know that after I have it, I really don't feel any better. In fact, usually I feel worse. So if I can remember that beforehand its helpful because the 10 seconds it takes to eat it and have it taste yummy isnt worth feeling gross for 30 minutes afterwards.
Hope this helps!

You are right it is an addiction to chocolate, and a lot of people have it, and i can see how the sugar that is in it would hype you up. Well like any addiction you are going to have to go off of it slowly not quit all at one time like you have tried. But cut down how much you eat, then cut that down , and keep cutting it down til you do not eat any at all. After a while the craving will go away, it is like getting a coffee fix, or a pop fix, just that you get a chocolate fix, and you really need to come to terms that it is effecting your life and you need to quit eating all of that chocolate.

Try limiting the amount of chocolate you eat per day. Maybe like the size of a hershey kiss. Or instead, find some hobbies to keep your mind off of chocolate. If you're stressed, exercise or go hang out with your friends.

I like having it in the house. I don't eat it that much,
and there are other forms. Hot choc, choc milk,
choc ice cream. It's a bad feeling to get hyped off of it.
So I don't.
Wean yourself from it, cutting back on the amount you
eat each day.

you could try a supplement called dl-phenylalanine.. its one of the amino acids in the chocolate that is a precursor to dopamine and adrenaline. It is the reason choclate will make you feel better. any good vitamin store like gnc should have it... or you could try a diet soda that contains aspratame(almost all of them do), that ends being broken down in to dl-phenalanine also...

it is probably the caffeine that you are addicted to
same as coffee,tea and soda
chocolate has a lot of caffeine in it
you most likely won't quit completely but try to cut down or try coffee or cola to see if that gives you the same feeling
hope this helps â¥

You probably have low blood sugar, that's why you get nervous.
Check your blood sugar level, and ask doctor on how to increase them by consuming something other than chocolate.

If you are too underweight and not eating much but chocolate, you could be having hypoglycemic reactions. Talk to your doctor.
