What we call mind in English is MANAS in philosophy. This is defined as SANKALPA and VIKALPA. The thought process that comes and goes like waves in an ocean is the mind. It never stops one thought over the other come always..Some thoughts will give us pleasure and some sorrow. The next elevated position of MANAS is BUDHI. This is defined as NISCHAYATMAKAH. Arriving at firm conclusion. If one allows the thoughts in the mind to settle like stilled water there will not be any disturbance. To reach this state intense practise is required. Only that state can be termed as peace of mind.

The peace of God surpasses all understanding. I had a car accident and knew I was going to die. At the very instant I knew, a peace came over me and I had no fear. I was ready to meet Jesus. I didn't die but was severely injured and had to go through surgery. The peace remained and I did meet Jesus while under the knife. I can't explain it but I just knew God was in control.

i haven't studied the Baha'i' faith as much as i desire to ( and that i'll verify greater ). yet what I even have study grow to be very enlightening. In some historic texts that's mentioned that Jesus studied it. i do no longer understand whether that's genuine or no longer. yet there are great similarities in a number of Jesus teachings and the Baha'i' faith. on a similar time as i'm and could stay a Christian i'll assert that the international could be a greater powerful place if greater human beings took their sayings to coronary heart (rather of thinking they do, like maximum Christians on the instant). whether or no longer it extremely is Jesus or Baha'i'.
