It's called the "Litter Maid" cat box, and it is the best invention made. It is not totally self cleaning. Basically what it is is, a plastic box with a motor, so put it where you have an outlet, and it works with an electric eye. It's timed so that about 10 minutes after the cat removes itself from the box a scoop comes out and rakes up the clotted mess and scoops it into a little basket at the end. You still have to change the litter every few weeks and have to change the basket at the end when it's full. You use the clumping type of litter. Good thing about it is that it has a great guarantee. My cat Max had a way of Peeing right into the rake system and killed two of these machines, but he had a nasty temperment at times. My two girls seem to love it. But, it has it's flaws as they both seem to like to go in the same place and make big clumps that we have to somehow break up. Nothing is perfect.
As far as where to find it, I got it at one of the stores like Petco, but of course, you can Google it and find a place near you. I think it's pretty much price fixed, so I think just about any pet store will carry it. As far as the plastic tins go, my husband seems to find the best way to deal with getting them is to use an order form that we have and he pre-orders in bulk in advance. You don't want to be without.
I'll tell you, you do get addicted to these. We have two homes, and that was one of the first things we bought when we moved into our weekend home.

That's a "Littermaid" and I have one - they're great! You can get them through places like Petco and Petsmart; you may also be able to find them through eBay or Amazon.com. They do have their own site - http://www.littermaid.com - but they tend to be the most expensive place to buy them.
Presuming you get one, be sure to use a good-quality litter in it - don't use the generic stuff the pet stores sell by the pound (I made THAT mistake only once!) The best litter I have found for these automatic boxes is Tidy Cats scoop Crystal Blend.

i don't have self cleansing clutter field yet I have 2 cats :) So, clutter field each and each is the minimum. some human beings propose +a million witch ability 2 cats = 3 bins. I have one each and each and locate it adequate. it gained't smell in case you employ good clutter - i exploit "sparkling Step Scoopable" . you even ought to sparkling it a minimum of once each 2 days and it is the least. a week you should wash the bins all by ability of and spray with some anti bacterial product.
