I had something similiar. Mine would come on very quickly and one eye would get bloodshot and one pupil would get tiny. I went to the Neurologist and he gave me Imatrex which I never took, but what seemed to really help was a professional massage on my face a few times. The pain comes back every year or two for a few weeks or months and this last time I took a muscle relaxer 3 days in a row and it went away after that. It may be caused by tension, but see a doctor and maybe they can help you out.

head pain -- especially only on one side of the head...

it depends...what were you doing right before it happened? It could be all kinds of things.....i used to get sharp pains in my head when i was in jr.high......we did a cat scan and it ended up being nothing.......just stress.....but you should get it checked by a doc if it keeps happening.

depends on how long this has been going on...if its over two days then you should see the doctor. if not, just wait the two days and if it continues, see a doctor that can tell u what's going on.
