my boyfriend and i are deciding whether or not I should spend some money and go on birth control. he's never had sex without a condom, so obviously he doesn't know how much of a difference there is. i want to go on birth control anyway, but I'm just curious what some other males think about this.

You know, there is an immense amount of sensitivity in a man's erect member, so the slightest touch can be electrifying. Putting a layer of anything between the nerves and the stimulus desensitizes the feeling.
Think of how a rubber glove feels on your hand. The sensations are still there, but it's not what you're used to, and it's a bit more difficult to get a sense of what you're touching.
Most people want as direct a touch as possible when in a sexual situation. It feels more intimate, more stimulating, more the way it's supposed to feel.
On the other hand, if your partner has only felt stimulation through a condom before, going without may be too intense for him. If I were you, I'd run some tests using...some substitute for the real thing. See what he prefers.

Well of course it feels better but just remember all the things that come with not wearing a condom. First you hafta worry about that .01% or .1% or whatever it is that a birth control pill wont work. Yeah they say there is that much risk with a condom but if your using a condom with spermicidal lubricant it kills the sperm on contact so in reality the only way to get pregnant wearing a condom is if it breaks and he doesnt notice (which he should). Now the next thing is STD's which are very scary in my mind and hopfully anybody else's. Then theres the clean-up......wheres it gonna go when he pulls out and think about how much more cleaning up your gonna hafta do when not using a condom. But yes it does feel better but if hes smart he will wait til hes married.

At least a 40% decrease in pleasure, some will say more than 50% reduction. Hard to accurately 'rate', but it really makes huge difference, otherwise those who have 'gotten used' to bareback wouldn't be as adamant about never going back to condoms.

There's a lot more to factor in besides his pleasure, as the others have chimed in (STDs, money, etc.), but since you've asked, once a guy goes bareback he'll never want to go back to skinned.

Best to you both.

It makes a difference, but not as big a difference as the anti-condom whiners will espouse.

He should stay with condoms so he doesn't get used to bareback; once you go bareback you don't want to go back.

With that said, you will always have STD's to worry about (maybe he'll stray, maybe he won't, you won't know until the fat lady sings). If he's the one, then he can go bareback when you get married. There you go, a wedding present for the lucky fellow if he's the one.

I've never had sex without a condom on, but from what I've heard it's a lot better.

Well, if you are only concerned about pregnancy, then go for the pills instead. It may be costly but you know ..... Then again if you have other issues, just get him to wear one. If he really loves you and respesct your decision, he will wear one, no matter how much pleasure has been decreased!!!

Actually there is a difference. And to tell you the truth, if and when he does do the deed without the sleeve.
He'll never be dressed again.
I find a definite difference!

if you've ever gone skinny dipping, it feels the same way. It feels a lot better to swim without a swimsuit.

I would say it decreases feeling by 30-40%

a condom reduces or induces absolutley nothing Love is there and that is all that matters. Love is in the mind and what you have is good, so love him w/or without. My wife was 8 &1/2 months along and one night she wanted me to wear a "rubber" She loved it I loved it. Never allow latex or taboo to dicate LOVE
