How Long?... Long enough to access your situation. If you need a restraining order... get one. If it's just because you are embarassed or something like that... then don't hide. Get on with life. Enjoy your new found freedom.

Exactly 0 seconds. Saying hello to an ex the next day is the best way to get over him/her.

Of course, if you're hiding because he/she abused you, don't hesitate to go to a judge and get a restraining order. Then you don't have to worry.

Just get a restraining order, and buy a gun. It sounds like you are afraid of a psycho ex. Don't put up with his crap for a second. Stand up for yourself. Best of luck.
