Pray and ask God to forgive you and then forgive your self. Seek psychological help from a therapist for your emotional problems. If you have not already find yourself a church home and begin to worship and praise God and that will replace the negative forces that come upon you.
I Pray that you take this advice and it will be some help.
Blessings to you.

are you serious about this?
why do you feel guilty for? we humans has consience that will let you figure out why you are feeling this way, you did something that was wrong, so there you are. ask forgiveness to GOd and stopd doing that.
you said you have not done the thing that you pray for? i dont understand that either, you don't have to do much most of the cases after you repent , or after you ask something to God, asking for energy to God is not a bad idea but you don't sound correctly well, I think you are trying to leave some kind of addiction and you cannot? you feel like God helps you in the first round then you are strong to leave it; but then you go back.
sick professional help , if you have those emotional problems , you are calling them, cause they probably are bad habits , bad habits usually are called addictions, ( called sin )
God hate the sin but not the sinner, so don't feel bad trying to leave something , is natural that you may go back again to your sin , again and again and again adn again. GOd is proud of you that you are trying to leave it.
other thing you have to put in your mind that - son of evil is who "practice" the sin, but not who sin.
so if you keep practicing this sinfull way you may not really praying and God talking to you- remenber that the separation human with GOD essensially is the sin-
son if you keep on a sinful life, God may not answering your praying anymore ( he still listen ) sooooooo you are imagining that God is answering but that is not what is really happening.
read your bible more and practice more good things so you get used to.
You remind me when i couldnt get up from bed ( on school vacation) i rathered to sleep long hours against of going to church , bible study, or any other good thing , I felt so dirty. what was really happening I wasn't eating good, I was promise to God everyday that i will get up early , i will, i will, i felt so dirty; so sometimes is not up to you, see your surrounding who is affecting you , and get rid of that, like in my case, I wasn't eating good, thats why I couldn't get up.
hope that helps , let me know how are you.......

You have to stop praying if you do not accept the something that you are praying for. Your guilt stems from asking for something that you know you cannot accept or do not want to accept. If you have to pray, pray for the strength to accept what is is you need to , then you will be able to do it. You need to stop beating yourself up about it, we all pray for things we cannot have and we know this, we just hope we can get them. Guilt is your own non acceptance of this fact, own up to it, accept it, forgive yourself and then you can move forward. Besides it already happened and you cannot change it, all you can do is learn from it, accept it and move on.

Paul had the same problem..as do all real Christians..
(Rom 7:19) For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
(Rom 7:20) Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
(Rom 7:21) I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
(Rom 7:22) For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
(Rom 7:23) But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
(Rom 7:24) O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
(Rom 7:25) I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

Try to more fully participate in the work, worship, and sacramental life of your church, learn to accept your own obvious limitations, and give God the OK to use you as his instrument, in any way he might see fit.
This could be a risky strategy, but it leaves everything up to God ... and not you.
No more guilt.

What should I do if I feel guilty?
PRAY again to THE GOD/JESUS for more strength and
ASK HIM TO TAKE OVER!
THE GOD should not be your co-pilot.
HE should be your PILOT!

Pray and ask for redemption. Italian rose wine and Irish beer are good for 'washing away sins into the oceantide'. So is listening to Gwen Stefani and reggae. A little incense...

Guilt is usually associated with doing things you know are wrong or not doing things you know you should. If you are doing things that you know are wrong - stop doing them and ask for forgiveness. If you are not doing the things you should, start doing them.
