You should leave it in until you get to a doctor. Unless it impairs with your breathing.(e.g. blocking your airway...choking you) If it is stuck in someone else and is in the way of CPR chest compressions it can also be removed.
While it is still in it helps control the bleeding. If it is removed you could lose to much blood.
If you are stabbed call 911.

well, that depends on a few things, where, (as in is it thru anything such as artery or organs etc) and how deep/how large the object you're stabbed w/ is, and in general if it is in a bad place and or deep in, removing the object/blade would then cause more blood flow which would obviously be bad, causing you to have lower motor function and or pass out/eventually bleed out causing death, first things first in most emergencies call 911

also as far is if you were to/need to remove the object, prior to this, make sure you have some sort of gause or something to soak up the blood, and something to apply preasure, such as tape of any kind,

always leave it in unless it's obtructing your breathing (causing choking)

leaving the object in can actually control bleeding and if the lungs have been injured, it can act as a seal-prevent air from escaping and causing the lung to collapse.

in addition, pulling the object out introduces germs to the wounded area which can cause serious infection along with uncontrollable bleeding

Leave it in!! You can build up dressings around it to stabilize the object. Removing it can cause more bleeding because the object may have severed an artery or vein but the bleeding is controlled by the object.

Leave it in you pull it out you could bleed to death and keep movement to a minimum. If it's close to the heart I don't know. A doctor would have to answer that one.

Any impalement object should be left in place and secured, unless a person's air way in compromised. Blood loss will increase is a object is removed from the wound track.

leave it in

because if you take it out you may be damaging tissues that were spared on the way in

the area around the wound should be bulit up with gauze and then wrapped so the knife doesn't move around and cause futher damage

I am not a doctor...or even educated in medicine, but I would guess you could do more damage pulling it out...

NEVER TOUCH A BLADE WITH WHICH YOU WERE STABBED. SOMETIMES FURTHER INJURY CAN BE CAUSED TO BLOOD VESSELS.
CALL 911 A.S.A.P. FOR HELP.

Let it go through the healing process. Then after it is fully healed then touch it up.
