I've seen a second-hand McDermott cue advertised that's showing a run-out of "less than 1/32". Seems like an awfully small amount. Is it? Would you expect a brand new one to be straighter or is 1/32" negligible? Cheers.

I prefer my stick not being bent at all but that is such a small infracture that I dont know if it will make a difference in your playing or not. If the price on the cue is a steal, then by all means take advantage and get it. McDermott is a high quality stick and well known brand name. If anything you can resell it and make a huge profit. Good luck.

negligible by physical standards but if it mentally bothers you, then that is a different story. Some players cannot play if there is one ding let alone a bent shaft on a cue. Others could care less. Just make sure the curved end points down when taking a shot and not left or right. Cheers mate!

1/32" is quite small. Figure a stick at what? 46"?
46 divided by 1/32" is about .006%, probably less than the margin of error in measurement.

If you have to ask this...then it is "bent".......get another one....there is no such thing a "slight" bend.....get a new one....you'll make it back when on the next "tour" event.....good luck!!

the slightest bend can affect the way you shoot. Warping is caused from extreme hot or cold weather.
