Your girl gets upset because she follows a different set of social rules than you do. Obviously the same set as many of the people who provided answers.
However, it is possible to have sex with multiple partners alongside having a girlfriend. Some couples are capable of having a very loving relationship, whilst enjoying a healthy and diverse sex-life with different partners. If your girl is upset, she obviously wouldn't be a candidate for this type of relationship. If sex-on-the-side means a lot to you, then perhaps find a partner that's cool with you doing so... but you have to accept the fact that person might want to as well... so talk to them about it.
Safe sex buddy... STDs are like a badge for losers.

Because, uh, if you are in a committed relationship where you two are a couple, it's a given that you shouldn't get with anybody else. If you wanna have some fun on the side, why don't you become single? Then you can have all the fun you want AND your girlfriend will get a man she deserves. It will then a be win-win situation.

If you can't seem to make the effort to stay faithful then why are you in a relationship in the first place? She deserves better.

UNLES (yes, there IS an unless!) you find a woman that is polyarmourus (spelling?) (if you don't know what it is look it up).....
if you feel you truely can not stay in a monogomus relationship then get out now before you break her heart, and find a woman that is capabable of doing so, you won't find many!

Hell, I don't know ... probably because she hasn't figured out yet she could have some on the side too ... and probably easier for her to get it than you.
Then again, she probably is already....but us women are sooo slick about it, you won't even know about it unless she gives you an STD.
