I was driving my little brother home tonight, and this song came on and he turned it up. It's called Alyssa Lies. It's incredibly touching, and you won't be able to hold back your tears. My brother and I were both severely abused as children, but we broke the cycle. My children are children, just as they deserve to be. They will never be forced to grow up because of abuse from us.

My question to you is what do you think of the song, did it touch you, and how can you help stop the abuse?

Listen to it here:

yes I've heard it. It's a sad song and I cried evrytime I heard it........ I still do. I completely agree with you. Children are ment to be children and not people for parents (OR ANYONE ELSE FOR THAT MATTER) to take their anger out on. If the parents didnt want them then they should've gave them up for adoption or shouldn't have been messing around to begin with! I'm proud of both of you two for breaking the cycle. It took strength and courage and you succeeded! CONGRATS!

Oh and listen to Dear Mister Jesus. It's a song sang by Sharon Batts
