Unless you take your liquor with some form of non alcoholic fluids ( water, juice, etc ) The liquor will definitely dehydrate you more than the beer.
Your body requires water to break down the alcohol you ingest. Beer provides some of that in the drink itself ( although not enough to compensate for the total lost ) while liquor provides little to none.
Do a little experiment if you like, take six to ten 1 1/4 oz. shot of liquor one night and the same number of beers another. Decide for yourself which is nore dehydrating.

Carbonation does not dehydrate you. It is the alcohol that dehydrates you, it essentially sucks up as much water as it can.
Soda quenches your thirst on a hot day, and like beer, we belch up the carbonation.
Concentrated liquor dehydrates you more quickly. Drink a glass of water for each mixed drink, and hangovers are not as prevalent.

Liquor is more dehydrating compared to beer due higher alcoholic content..

I think it would be liquor due to the higher alcohol content. Think about it...on a hot summer day, some folks can down several cold beers and feel like they've quenched their thirst (with an accompanying buzz)! If they down several martinis in the sun...well, they are pretty much just marinated.

beer has low alcohol content but u tend to drink more without feeling the punch like hard liqueur, you can retain your sense longer than hard liqueur because it has not reach the level to knock your brain out first. but the diuretic effect of beer work faster than any so that u will urinate quite often and frequent than hard liqueur, The more often u urinate the faster u are dehydrated. because the urine that passed out is not mainly from beer but your body fluid as well : all from the work of diuretic which force the kidneys to extract more fluid from your body despite all the beer u have drunk. wrongly thinking that the urine is mainly from the beer.

all alchol dehydrates you the same, what alchol does is make your blader over work so that you produce more urine and after a lond night of drinking you will wake up dehydrated. my reccomendation is to drink plenty of water before you go to bed
