my suggestion: don't take anymore... thats your best bet. try some tea or something to relax you, or get your mind off of feeling sick.

Seek medical attention you could have really jacked yourself. Why would you take 10 tylenol in the first place? You're not stupid but I gotta know more before I can give to an honest answer! Were you sick before you took them? If so and after 10 you still are, its not working. Wait 4-6 hours and try either advil or actifed for allergies/colds. That wasn't a smart idea taking 10 tylenol but I am not judging you.

Symptoms of Tylenol overdose may include:
Excessive perspiration, exhaustion, general discomfort, nausea, vomiting
Also Tylenol in large doses or over extended periods of time can cause serious liver damage. Two more wont kill you as 12 is the total you can take in a 24 hour period. If you are taking it for pain.
Switch to ibuprofen or aspirin as these will not interact with the Tylenol and may be more affective in pain management. if that doest work..speak with your doctor on maybe prescribing something more effective.
If you are taking them for reasons other than pain or physical symptoms. 12 will not kill you...a whole bottle wont either. It will just cause serious pain and more illness and probably a stomach pumping at the ER ...so don't bother.

Wwhat are you lookin for , info or death?.. It is not the best thing to take in the first place, not to mention 10 at once!. Your liver and kidneys will be battered to death with those!.I think you might want to get a stronger dose like T2's or even maybe T3's, and NO MORE THEN THE RECOMMENDED DOSE!!! You might not of felt much now but just wait! Not sure if your covered for it but that sounds like what you need to do. Talk to your Doctor. You may not want sarcasm but your gonna get it with this!. You are an idiot! Use the thing God gave you. It's called a brain!!!

Taking too much tylenol at one time could potentially damage your liver. Once your liver is damaged, you could have other serious health programs as a result. The liver metabolizes and breaks down a lot of toxic substances from blood to be excreated by the kidney. If you screw up you liver, you screw up these processes. Go for a check up, just in case. Don't be surprised if you get a psych consult.

When you take tablets, give them at least one hour to take effect. Tablets don't work instantly because they have to travel down your gut before they are absorbed into your blood in order for it to start taking effect. If you pop, pill after pill, you're asking for trouble.

A TYLENOL OVERDOSE CAN KILL YOU.

You took 5,000 mg (5 grams), a toxic overdose can be less than 10 grams).

It takes time, and can manifest itself over a few days. You should, at the very least, call poison control and tell them how many you've taken and if you should go to the Emergency Room. If you wait too long they may not be able to help you.

If it doesn't kill you outright ( painful death I might add), it can do damage to your liver.

The following is from a medical web site:

In acute acetaminophen overdosage, dose-dependent, potentially fatal hepatic necrosis is the most serious adverse effect. Renal tubular necrosis, hypoglycemic coma and thrombocytopenia may also occur.

In adults, hepatic toxicity has rarely been reported with acute overdoses of less than 10 grams and fatalities with less than 15 grams. Importantly, young children seem to be more resistant than adults to the hepatotoxic effect of an acetaminophen overdose. Despite this, the measures outlined below should be initiated in any adult or child suspected of having ingested an acetaminophen overdose.

Early symptoms following a potentially hepatotoxic overdose may include: nausea vomiting, diaphoresis and general malaise. Clinical and laboratory evidence of hepatic toxicity may not be apparent until 48 to 72 hours post-ingestion.

Treatment: The stomach should be emptied promptly by lavage or by induction of emesis with syrup of ipecac. Patients' estimates of the quantity of a drug ingested are notoriously unreliable. Therefore, if an acetaminophen overdose is suspected, a serum acetaminophen assay should be obtained as early as possible, but no sooner than four hours following ingestion. Liver function studies should be obtained initially and repeated at 24-hour intervals.

The antidote, N-acetylcysteine, should be administered as early as possible, preferably within 16 hours of the overdose ingestion for optimal results, but in any case, within 24 hours. Following recovery, there are no residual, structural or functional hepatic abnormalities.

For additional emergency information, call your regional poison center or call the Rocky Mountain Poison Center toll-free (1-800-525-6115).

Remember, you may not have toxic symptoms for 24 to 48 hours, but then it can be too late. If youget to the ER within 16 hours you can stop the ill effects and possibly the organ damage.

well, I dont see the purpose in taking 10....all at once...usually, two every four to six hours is nice...depends on the milligrams in each and how big or small you are...I take three. If your in that much pain, I wont take tylenol. If you go a fever, tylenols the ticket....sever headache, Ibuprofen or alieve.
Taking too many tylenol for long periods is bad for your kidneys...just like taking too many aspirin tears up your stomach lining.
If your wanting to know the effects of taking too many...look up an online drug reference...like a PDR (prescription drug reference). They usually cover over the counter stuff too.
If you start having weird reactions, call poision control, the number is in your phone book, they can tell you what to look for...and possible how to counteract it.
Now, back on the issue of why your taking all those pills....I have ocassional migraines, and I could take the entire freakin' bottle of tylenol and it wouldn't help.....I found over the counter stuff for migraines and it works nicely....

you're allowed 4400 mg/day. Depending on you're body size nothing will happen if you only took 10. I've seen people take 30 extra strength with codeine and drink a half bottle of Vodka. Wouldn't recommend it though. Regular over-medicating of Tylenol does do organ damage.

You seriously need to get to an ER. I'm not kidding. If you can't get yourself there, call 911 and tell them you have taken an acetominophen overdose. Swallowing a handful of Tylenol like that IS a big deal.

It does not take much acetominophen to do very serious, even fatal, damage to your liver. If you were trying to kill yourself, believe me, this is NOT a good way to go.

Even if you aren't showing symptoms, this could destroy your liver. Do not sit around, tell someone, call 911, do whatever you need to do to get help.

Tylenol assimilates through your liver not the stomach, you are going to die a slow death if you keep poisoning yourself that way. If you need to alternate between Tylenol and Advil it is OK to do so but NEVER exceed the recommend dosage or max out on the daily dose.

i took 40 extra strength tylenol's about 6 years ago and the doctor said that if i had taken one or two more i would've died for sure. tylenol attacks your liver. 10 could give you liver damage. my liver has never recovered. hopefully you'll be smarter than me and stop. unless the idea of a tube down your nose, drinking a beverage that tastes like rotten eggs, and drinking gallons of charcoal appeals to you, that is. not to mention having your blood drawn every 4 hours, and your stomach pumped and a catheter jammed up your pee pee.
