Wow! I've taken ambien cr and that alone should be MORE than enough. That stuff will trip you completely out and knock you out.
Temazepam is used on a short-term basis to help you fall asleep and stay asleep through the night. So you don't want to take TWO strong sleep aids together. You could die in your sleep if you're soo tore up your breathing slows down to nil.
Don't forget, if you're sleeping, the likelihood of anyone who could help you is gonna decrease. If they wake and see you "sleeping" they won't think anything is wrong at night. By the time they DO realize it, you could be cold and stiff :(

BE CAREFUL!
Ambien Cr and Temazapan both affect the brains sleep center adn the more you use them, the more your brain will begin to become chemically dependant on them to sleep. All drugs like this have the potential to put you into a cycle where your brain can no longer produce the right chemicals to bring about sleep on it's own. These drugs were ment to be used OCCASSIONALLY, as in once a week at most and they were never ment to be used together. You want to also create emotional problems for yourself, keep using them and as you sleep becomes more use to them, and your brain stops being able to bring about sleep on it's own, then you'll begin to have anxiety problems, then depression.
Just because they are over the counter drugs, doesn't mean use them in place of sleep or to get to sleep quickly on a regular bases.
Consider instead having an hour you use to wind down before going to bed. Read a book, take a warm bath. Stay away from Caffiene in high amounts during the day and do not drink Caffiene within four hours of going to sleep or of course your body won't go to sleep.
You throw off your bodies natural sleep cycles through drugs, including using excessive amounts of Caffiene when tired, to stay awake and you can end up with sleep deprivation setting in with all it's problems, including Hallucinations.
Take care of yourself, get the drugs out of your system and make time for adequate sleep.
Hope you'll consider what I've said, instead of wondering if it's safe to combine two drugs in order to get to sleep.
BE CAREFUL! There is only one you and you only have this one body!

I took ambien cr for several months with no help. I started taking a couple of benadryl 25mg with it but it didn't help much. I wouldn't mix your two meds without talking to your doctor.
I found Lunesta 3mg a much better option. Now that's all I take to help me get to sleep. Good luck to you.

No! Aside from taking too much to help you sleep (risking not waking up) you risk serious drug-to-drug interactions. They work on similar receptors in the body. If one drug binds to the receptors, making it impossible for the other drug to do so, the second drug ends up 'free-flowing' in your blood stream, which can make you very ill or cause problems breathing or with your heart.
