My friend took this test not that long ago and he said all they asked was 10 questions.
The officer printed out a sheet from a computer with the 10 questions, so the computer picks the questions for them. Then the officer told him to read the question outloud to show he can read english, and to answer outloud to show he knows the history and the answer, and then to write his answer on the paper to show he can write english.
Asked how long he has been in the US, asked a few other simple non US history questions and that was it. He said all it took was 20 minutes.
Good Luck !!!!!

I didn't take the test, but a friend of mine did a couple of years ago, and she said it was pretty basic. She was nervous too, but relieved when she started to answer the questions. Think of it more as a literacy test than one on American Government and History. They just want to know that you're interested enough to have done some studying, and that you are proficient in English (or Spanish!) You sound plenty intelligent enough. Just relax and you'll do fine.

Suggest you stop and depend on your "test preparation and test taking"
skills. Many tests have "guide copies at the library, such as: Armed Forces
entrance tests, college entrance exams, etc, etc. So if your "guide of 100 or so questions" asked "Who was the third president?" [study up on presidents]
"How many houses of Congress? or "Name them" [study executive, judicial,
and legislative branches of our government system]. "What was the name of the first war?" [study names of wars]. You'll do fine. email me and let me know how you did -- I'd like to congratulate you and tell my ex and step daughter who will take the same test in about a year. Thanks and God Bless.

All you can do is do your best, which you have. Try, if you can, to relax the night before... I know this is unlikely.
All I can do is wish you luck!
