ive known this guy since 7th grade we lost touch in hs and meet back up like 4 years ago i was 20 we meet up when i joined the same firehouse he is at.. well im 24 now and we started hanging out again well come to find out he likes me as a gf lets date what whats everyones take on dating old friends

Well I'm still friends with some of the guys I was in grade school with and yes, some actually still hit on me and want to date me...It's just a little too weird for me. I mean the guy was my boyfriend back in the 7th grade so that obviously was a play thing, but I am not the least bit attracted to him now.
If you are attracted to him then go for it, but don't do it just because you have known him since grade school. Also, keep in mind, you are at the same firehouse so if things go sour, things can get awkward really fast.

Well before you go into a relationship and most people ignore this you should be friends first and the fact that you already know how to deal with each other is great. You know what you are going into and what you are dealing with so be glad that you aren't going in head first. There is the fact that sometimes if you guys break up it would ruin a great friendship and look on the bright side it could strengthen it as well. I think that you should go for it. You just have to have the same thing in mind and talk to him and find out what is his aim in your relationship. Go with the flow could end up in a lot of places where you don't want to be so find out where you are heading for and if things are just the way that you want it then I say go for it. Being friends in a romantic relationship is always a good thing. Also please take your time to know him in his way because you know him as a friend and not a boyfriend those two things have sort of a slight difference because he would be a little more sensitive to what ever you say or do.

I don't think there is anything wrong with that. Especially if you guys are already friends, that should just make it easier for you 2 to talk to each other.
