There are a lot of beautiful parks that are along both the Willamette and Columbia rivers - all would make a great wedding location.
Two specific suggestions to consider are Oaks Park and Shore Acres State Park. Oak's Park web site (http://www.oakspark.com/) says "Surrounded by the same stately trees for which it was named, The Oaks, in Portland, Oregon in 2005 will celebrate its 100th consecutive year of operation, making it one of the oldest continuously operating amusement parks in America. Built by the Oregon Water Power and Navigation Company, the park opened its gates on May 30, 1905 to Portlanders who arrived by foot and on horseback, in automobiles and by boat from the Willamette River. In keeping with the design of other "Trolley Parks" across the country, most of its visitors disembarked from trolley cars which ran along the Portland-to-Oregon City tracks forming the eastern boundary of the park. Look no further! Oaks Park can provide you with everything you need to have a wonderful day, for you and your guests. Oaks Park can accommodate 25 - 5000 guests in 25 different picnic areas. Located in Portland's Historic Sellwood District, along the banks of the beautiful Willamette River, Oaks Park has beautiful grassy areas that are perfect for any family or company gathering. "
On further south and west, there is a fantastic garden and covered gazebo at Shore Acres State park outside Coos Bay (http://www.shoreacres.net/). "Perched on a scenic bluff above the Pacific Ocean, Shore Acres began as a private estate with luxurious gardens featuring trees, shrubs, and flowering plants brought from around the world aboard the sailing ships of pioneer lumberman and shipbuilder Louis J. Simpson.
Simpson developed the summer home into a showplace three-story mansion complete with a heated, indoor swimming pool and a large ballroom. The grounds contained five acres of formal gardens, including a Japanese-style garden built around a 100-foot lily pond.
Ever since its beginnings as Louis Simpson's private estate, the plantings at Shore Acres have been designed to take advantage of the area's mild climate. They have created a "garden for all seasons" - with showy "peaks" of different kinds of flowers every time of the year.
Hundreds of spring bulbs and daffodils - late Feb. thru March
5,000 tulips - late March thru April
Hundreds of rhododendrons and azaleas - April thru mid-May
5,000 flowering annuals/perennials - May thru Sept. "
And these are just two suggestions - Oregon is full of wonderful places to have a beautiful wedding.
