....and the Spiderman pencil isn't sharp enough. My electric pencil sharpener is broken and all we have left is the sharp Strawberry Shortcake pencil. Should I let him use it or just not let him do his homework this one time?

Don't ever send him to bed without him doing his homework. He's gunna think it's an ok thing to do. Don't teach him to give up like that just 'cause he doesn't have a pencil.
I don't think it'll emotionally scar him, but he probably won't like using it; he might feel uncool, wimpy, etc. It might make him lose some dignity too. Hey, this is the mind of a 1st grader here.
Here's the simplest solution. USE A PEN! How do you not have any other pencil besides Strawberry Shortcake. Your telling me you have no other pencils anywhere at all, but a Strawberry Shortcake pencil. Dude...c'mon.
But if you can't find a pen, or if he's a bit sloppy and could be error-prone, you should probably cover it up with something if you seriously can't find another pencil, like colored tape or stickers. Maybe even take scotch tape and then color it with marker or pen. But make sure he doesn't try to peel it off.
Buy more pencils, keep 'em in a spot where you can find them whatever the time of day is. And even better, buy him some Spider-Man pencils.

Do you have a handheld pencil sharpener? If not you could use a knife to sharpen the pencil, or else let him use the Strawberry Shortcake pencil, or even a pen. It is important that he learn's to do his homework constantly now, or he'll make excuses in the future.

If he uses a strawberry shortcake pencil he may turn Gay! Are you kidding me? Give him the damn pencil and let him do his homework. It doesn't matter what the pencil is as long as it works. You could always sharpen his pencil using a razor

Use the pencil that works. If it's a problem cover the strawberry shortcake theme with stickers or tape.

Sharpen the pencil with a knife then use the knife and sharpened pencil on your reproductive organs that would render them forever useless and therefore spare the rest of society the burden of having to deal with your contribution to the gene pool.

Sharpen the Spiderman pencil with a sharp knife - that's how we used to do it before sharpeners were invented.

i would let him use the strawberry shortcake pencil.....but i am guessing from the question that this concerns you.....i have no idea why...a pencil is a pencil....i doubt the little red haired doll will harm his man hood at 6 years old.....

if you dont want him to get in trouble you should let him use it or if you have a knife you could sharpen the pencil. you need to go get some pencils and a (manual) pencil sharpener.
