I would have to say Fuji, because they are juicy, crunchy, and tangy. I haven't found anything that comes close. But Pink Lady's are pretty good.

No brainer...FUJI..always crunchy and juicy, have never had a bad fuji. Not sure about for pies or baking them but they are the best of all apples..in my opinion.

For baking, I will choose Granny Smith (tart) but for eating I will have to choose Gala or Yellow Delicious. Red Delicious tends to leave an after taste (the skin).

All apples are good and very healthy foods to eat. But it depends on what you are doing with the apple that makes a difference. Some are better for baking, others are better for applesauce or cider, and yet others are best for just plain eating raw. My personal all round favorite is Jonathon.

I prefer pink lady apples, but you can't find them all the time. So then I switch to golden delicious.
