Good!
Slow and steady weight reduction is best. If you lose it too quick your body will be shocked, think you're starving, and try to get it all back.
It's only in the very recent past we've had problems with an abundance of foods that are high in calories and low in nutritional value, thus leading to excess weight. Until quite recently our food problems were because we didn't always have enough food, but the food that was available usually did have good nutritional value.

Good job, 1-2 lbs a week is pretty much ideal.

It doesn't sound like a lot, but keep in mind that 2 lbs a week for a year is 104 pounds!

That's what I've lost too in 3 weeks! Congrats! I've been eating 1200 calories a day, but I am walking for 30-45 minutes 4 or 5 days a week. My sis is getting married in August and there is no way that I can be bigger than her on her wedding day! ;0) Yeah I guess there's a little competition there.....

You're doing a great job! The hardest part of a diet is food control and consistent exercise. Keep up the great work!

Good luck!

Yes,that's normal as long as it's a healthy diet that includes fruits, veggies and low fat dairy. If not,you will end up gaining it plus more back. The weight usually comes off quickly the first month or so then starts to taper down.Usually if you have a lot to lose it drops off quickly the first few months.
Exercise will help keep it coming off.Good luck!

well i'm curious to hear what diet your on! Everybodies bodies react differently. If you were having McD's every meal and suddely swithed to salads then its kind of understandable that you've lost that much, but excersise should be a big ingrediant no matter what! i'd suggest going to your local doctor and checking with him. They say you should lose 1.5lbs a week so your not much off that. i thnk your alright but maybe get it checked out anyways cuze i think that stat includes excersise

The amount of weight you lost is good, but what have you changed? Because if you are not exercising that is a lot of weight to lose.

Don't starve yourself!!
