ok i live on a huge hill that is a back road. there is a thick layer of ice on it and NONE of my neighbors can make it up... i am soooo worried. i have checked and i am out of salt..

but i was wondering, does regular house salt iodized work on melting ice??? i am worried sick.. and my husband is out at work.. i am so scared for him when he comes home... is there anything i can do?????. thanks amanda

Iodized salt will work, and there will be no goiters. But you probably do not have enough salt to take care of the ice. Have him a hot meal ready, give him some hot loving, he will forget about the ice.

Call him and tell him to park at the bottom of the hill..

Salt will melt it but it will take more than you have in the cupboard
