Tell your friends that you are happy with your boyfriend and if they cant accept the fact that your are in a very good relationship then they are not your friends...they supposed to be the one supporting you and be happy for you....besides they are not the one whose dating him....you are....so what if your dating someone whose a few years older than you...there is nothing wrong with that.....

Are you happy? Does he treat you right? Are you guys in love? If you said yes, remind your friends of these things. Would they rather you are with a guy who is 22 and treats you like crap. Sometimes friends think they are helping when in reality they are hurting. He might be 36 but if he treats like you deserve to be treated they should be happy for you.

You might not be able to stop them, but don't be afraid to stand up for yourself and for your man. A more important question for you is: how does he treat you? If the answer is good or great, then you are doing the right thing. You might have to find a new circle of friends.

If you tell them to lay off about it and they dont you really cant say anything but just remember to rub it in there face when there complaining that there younger boyfriends are acting immature and always wanting to party and be at the bars and always hanging with the guys and not wanting to spend all there time with them. and let them know that yoor OLD boyfriend doesnt do that. cause everone knows older guys are usally done with the partying stage

Don't worry about your friends. You could also tell them it's good to have a mature (mentally) boyfriend for a change. Just point out the reasons you like him to them and see if they will accept him for those reasons like you have.

maybe they can see something you can't. like maybe they feel something is too different about your maturity levels or experience or whatever. or they could just feel excluded from your happy relationship and want to cause trouble. how good of friends are they?
