i have a casio exilim and recently the screen either is black and distorted or the pics i take come out messed up... how do i fix this at home, i dont have a warranty

black!? you better take your camera to your nearest repairer store as soon as possible, the motherboard inside is messed up, hope nothin too seriously

I assume you mean the Casio Exlim Z750? If so, the unit is not user repairable, but you'll find many qualified CASIO service centers over at www.casio.com. I like the folks at Professional Photo Repair in San Diego (Area Code 858-277-3700). They will diagnose and repair for you at a charge. I would expect a repair to be AT LEAST $150 if it is repairable. You can even try eBay for a repair service flat rate.
