mech. engg , interested in computer so how will SAP work for me. i am interested in SAP .

SAP is an ERP (Enterprise Ressource Planning) software.
As an engg you most likely will use the project system module of SAP and if you develop new products, some of the Material Management module (BOM, drawings, release status).

That should be the module(s) for you to focus on. If you want to become a developer, the ABAP programming language would be the right one. But best thing for entering that career path will be to join a company working with SAP. Since more and more companies use cheaper offshore ressources for the developing and programming tasks, business knowledge will remain a key success factor for cost effective SAP installations.

I am an Electrical Engineer and I am not sure if we are talking about the same SAP. SAP to me is a manufacturing software application program that was used at Triquint Semiconductor when I worked there. I would expect that to be a resume booster as companies may like to see that he is familiar with it.
