I already tried Kelly Blue Book, & it only went up to 1987. Obviously, no Beetles made then. Any & all information welcomed! Thanks!

NADA has a classic car section which is great. Just in case you don't know, there is a large variance in classic car values. Any book value is simply a guide. You may find cars run higher or lower in your area. I would suggest doing a Yahoo search on '69 VW's for your locality to get an idea of the value. Even then your search might mean nothing. Sorry to be so vague but with classic cars its all about what it's worth to the buyer. Here's the link to your car.

Good luck.

Obviously, insured value is zero....otherwise you got to cross reference with local newspapers and up to the nearest big city for prices.
Insurance would have to be special if you wanted to cover cost if stolen. Really a matter of demand.
