take the MTR at Kowloon, then switch to KCR, you'll see which station to swith if you are at the station, there are a lot of instructions there. KCR last station is LOWU, that is already the boundary of Shenzhen and HK, you'll pass thru 2 immigrations.

it depends on which part of Kowloon are you at? if you are in TST, you can just take the train direct to LaoWu (final station and the broader between china and hong kong).
if you are near MTR station, you can transit either in TST or Kowloon Tong, both station can transfer to KCR rail station.

If you are at Mong Kok, take the train KCR and get off at LoWu.

mtr to the kcr...it's basically like taking the subway into shenzhen...it's quick, efficient and cheap.
