Mustang because it is cooler. Some people think fusion because of MPG, but really a mustang has fairly good mpg. I don't know what you are looking for, but clearly the mustang is better considering it is the #1 selling Sports Car in the world, stats mean nothing, but just think about it.

Actually, they are both pretty good cars.
The fusion platform (mazda6) has been used for a couple of years now, so all the major glitches are more then likely taken care of.
however, the mustang has a completely new chassis and 4.6 L engine.
I like the fact that the fusion is awd. For me, awd blows rwd away.
But, the after market of the fusion/6 is no where near the aftermarket for the mustang. If you want to keep it stock, then this realy isnt an issue for you.
The fusion ranked number 1 in jd powers apeal study
Its ranked #2 by car and driver (under the accord)
The nice thing is that in late 07, they are releasing the 2 door v-6 awd model. (nice)
Now the mustang sure isnt shabby either.
Its a beatufiul car. They hit the nail on the head with the retro style. 300hp 4.6l not bad
The mustang won the canadian car of the year.
I guess my verdict is to wait a year, and buy the 2 door v-6 awd fusion.

I take it you're comparing the Fusion to the V-6 Mustang?
If this is the case, you will get more utility out of the sedan.
You just have to decide which car serves your wants and
needs the most?
Your insurance cost will be less in the Fusion. You can get
all-wheel-drive in the Fusion. If you get the V-6, you will not
miss the power of the V-6 Mustang (or the poor gas mileage).

Wow, style of like Apples and Oranges... right this is the deal, despite you choose for, you will could be prepared to settle for the commerce-offs. Mustang: this may be the main relaxing, and function the wonderful resale value. You did no longer point out the 365 days, so i'm no longer so confident how stable the deal is. it gets the worst mileage, and be probable to get you a site visitors value ticket or 2 (police radars love mustangs...). you would be waiting to get each and every style of oem areas for it, if wished, and all and sundry seems cool in a Mustang. Coolness: 3 stars Resale: 3 stars gasoline economy: a million celebrity Altima: this may be a relaxing vehicle, with relatively some potential. i individually do no longer think of that they look very unique, however the value looks stable, exceptionally for the miles. it relatively is going to probable get greater advantageous mileage than the Mustang. I doubt that it will shop it relatively is value as nicely using fact the Mustang. Coolness: 2 Stars (stable potential) Resale: a million a million/2 Stars (fairly unique motor vehicle) gasoline economy: 2 Stars Fusion: i admire Ford Fusions, yet they are enormously bland, as far as automobiles pass. you will get large mileage, the engine is sweet. The SEL has all the bells an whistles, and is a astounding, yet smallish vehicle to force. you could force this vehicle for a protracted time. Coolness: a million celebrity Resale: a million a million/2 Stars gasoline economy: 3 Stars stable good fortune.

221hp AWD Fusion is what I would go for, and I am a Mustang guy. I own a 67, a 77, and an 87 Mustangs. That little 3.0 V6 puts out more power than the old 5.0 Mustangs from when I was in high school! And none of them could plant it with AWD!!

ok i have 2 mustang gt's and i would not choose a fusion over them at all.... i have driven a fusion and it is more of a family car but it really depends on what you really want... and another thing is the gas mustangs get poor milage.... it will stay on full for a couple of days but after it gets off full it sucks everything out of it...

Let me get this straight. Are you asking weither you should get the front-wheel-drive, slow mow, four door, boring, family sedan; or the 300 hp (V8) rear-wheel-drive muscle car that looks as cool as it drives. The answer to that depends on who YOU are. The two cars that you just mentioned, the Mustang and Fusion, don't have anything in common, except that they are both Fords. One is a muscle car, the other is a family sedan. Am I right, or am I right?

Both are good.
Mustang is cooler, better performance, and fun to drive, but not very good if you need to haul people or luggage.
Fusion is still cool, but more practical for everyday use.

Apparently Joe Black hasn't seen or driven a Fusion. It is anything BUT a "boring slow mow"
Luckily for me I am not faced with a decision as to which ONE to get. I drive them BOTH (& a Hybrid Escape) whenever I choose!
& that's EXACTLY what you should do!
Go & drive them both & look at which one fits YOUR needs, desires, & budget best.
Either one is a great choice!
