How can I turn down my guy friend in a very nice way?

I think this is going to ruin our friendship....he is soooo sensitive and turns rejection into anger .....help!

By using "tact" if he is a mature thinking person. Tact is the careful consideration of the feelings and values of another person, so as to create harmonious relationships with a reduced potential for conflict or offense.
Simply, you will start the conversation with allot of noble things about him " like he is a great friend etc." and then you tell him what you want him to know, "that he is not you sole mate," keep it real. You can repeat the process several times until he gets your message.
If you are not dealing with a mature thinking person, then you will need a third person intervention. It is an attempt by the third person to protect you from him, to be a witness, and to "get him help" for his anger (or immature) problem.

Tell him that he's a great guy and being more than friends will jeopardize your relationship. You can also tell him that you like him too much to be with or hurt him.
