Now all of these suggestions seem nice but lets be honest this is a special occasion, and you dont need to celebrate by getting all capital F'd up. At the same time you will be experiencing much pressure from your friends to try different things. Here are a few options and what to expect from them.

1. Jagermiester- ever the favorite among the young as it tastes like black licoriche.

2. Sambuca- similar in flavor to jagermiester but its sweeter.

3. Greatful dead- now depending on the bartender this drink can taste like many things but the most common is cotton candy or a snow cone. it is a blend of several alcohols and every bartender knows how to put it together.

4. Long Island Iced Tea- this drink is similar to the greatful dead except that for one ingredient i think and tastes of lemon tea.

5. Southern comfort- this liquer is a cherry flavor and great in coke or as a shot.

6. Snake Bite- this is for the big boys it is 100 proof yukon jack and some lime juice. these are sweet and sour and sure to make your big 21 a night you will remember.

7. Twisted Twice- This isnt nescicarly a bar item, its just something i like to do. Order a smirnoff twisted 12 oz bottle and a matching shot of what ever the bar carries you like. Add the shot to the drink to, as emeril would say "Kick it up a notch"

8. Vodka Cranberry KO- now this is my personal favorite. The bar i go to has buy one get one shots so i came accros this by accident. order a vodka cranberry w/ a straw and two snake bites. poor one snake bite into the vodka cranberry. ok now take the second snake bite as a shot then drink the entire vodka cranberry/snake bite mix in one go, straw keeps the ice in the glass and your dignity cuz you will love this and order more. I dont recomend more then two goes for a newby as this drink will take a minute to catch up to you and then bang you are drunk.

Forgive the spelling

It sounds harsh but is kinda minty and not that rough. Besides whats a 21st without doubleshots.

A nice beer, wine or upscale highball. I would suggest something that you would ordinarily treat yourself to, like a Newcastle Brown Ale, Pilsener Urquell or something like an 18 year old scotch........something to remember later 'cause at the end of the night you won't remember anything!!!.

Earn the respect of your peers and impress the bartender by ordering a tried and true cocktail...none of that juvenile crap. Order a Sapphire & Tonic or a Dirty martini made with gin (or vodka if you prefer)....and all the while get wasted in style :)
