Operations to make one another infertile exists, but wouldn't that also be a sin since sex is meant for reproduction?

Ok so for the people who say that it IS in fact a sin lol Then should married couples just have a Baby every single year and end up with at least 40 Kids? Yea that's totally Logical.

no. Who cares if some religion thinks its a sin? The FACTS are that our planet is overpopulated already, and people who are not prepared to have a child (or another), should be allowed to have sex without worrying about feeding a child they do not want.

What does the bible say?

It doesn't mention condoms, lets not make things any harder or confusion for everyone else.

All the rules are in the bible. Some will say that when Tamar's Husband spilled his seed on the floor that he was sinning because he wasn't preventing having a baby.

But the sin was only a sin because he was suppost to raise unto his brother a child, thus making it a sin to prevent a child from being born.

Genesis 38:9
And Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother's wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest that he should give seed to his brother.

Its a sin to Fornicate, have sex before being married. So whether or not you use a condom is besides the point.

Now lets talk about the Bed of Marriage. What does the bible say...

Hebrews 13:4
Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

What you do with your wife, seems to be ok, its undefiled.

Funny how some churches will, keep you to do commandments thats hard to find in the bible at all, but the ones that is there, they will ignore and tell you it doesn't need to be followed.

Did you know that God’s Word, the Bible, leaves it to the husband and wife to decide family size? It also shows that marriage is appropriate, whether for procreation or for showing affection by honorable sexual intimacy.—1 Corinthians 7:3-5; Hebrews 13:4.

God did tell Adam and Eve in Paradise to “be fruitful and become many and fill the earth” (Genesis 1:28), yet nothing in the Bible shows that we are under that same command today. Writer Ricardo Lezcano pointed out: “It seems somewhat contradictory to apply to [billions of] human beings the same formula that was applied to the only two inhabitants of the planet.” Even if the decision is to have no children at all, this is a personal choice to be respected.

There is an accounts in the Bible where God punished a man for wasting his sperm (Ge 38:8, 9), but this was do to the inheritance of the family name.
Procreation is no longer an issue today and we do not live by the Mosiac Laws anymore. Any contraceptives that you choose is your personal decision. The Bible is open to interpretation on this issue, but here are two scriptures that I can share with you to give you insight:
(Romans 14:14) I know and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus that nothing is defiled in itself; only where a man considers something to be defiled, to him it is defiled.
(Titus 1:15) All things are clean to clean [persons].

everything is a sin to the Christian religious right.

they make money by forgiving people of their sins so that god will take them to heaven right.

so to stay in business everything that comes natural must be a sin. that way no human can possibly live without sin. they gather them all up once a week for the weekly tax, and forgive their sins.

this is a great business. it makes a promise that cannot be proven (untill death)against an action that cannot be avoided, with a consequence (hell) that scares the crap out of 90 percent of humanity.

oh, and anything that would make these natural actions easire, or have less mortal consequences must be a sin also.

so yeah condoms are a sin......

glad that i am a Pagan nad not subject to the weekly tax, or the rules that you cannot live up to.

If you want to base your answer off of religion, then yes. According to the major religions, sex is designed to show love, give pleasure and create babies. If any one of those elements is missing, it isn't said to be wholesome. Since condoms would eliminate the "create babies" part, it is technically a sin. Personally, I believe that when it comes to such an amazing and personal thing as sex, one should use one's own moral judgement to decide the rules. No one should dictate to you what your sex should be like.

Very good question!

"SIN" is what you feel guilty while doing action (karma). Do you feel it while using Condoms? Cause guilty is such which comes from your inner. If you feel so, yes it is.

Guilty can be at different level. At your personal level, family level, Society level etc. The act which you are performing is beneficial to how many people, damaging to how many lives? You need to understand with high level (beyond mind) and you will have your own answer.

I know some people believe it to be similar to having an abortion because you are potentially stopping a life that God wanted to come into the world. I personally do not find it to be a sin because in my opinion, it is not a life unless there is blood flowing through the body. If you prevent the life from ever starting, it is not murder.

Despite the Catholic perspective to the contrary, birth control is not prohibited by the Bible. A couple should be praying for God's will in how many children to have and should be able to enjoy lovemaking without the concern of pregnancy all the time.

The only religion I know of that thinks that are Catholics. There may be others but that's the only one I know about. I don't think it's a sin to use them. I think it's more of a sin to have a bunch of kids that you really didn't want in the first place.

Who says sex is for reproduction? Reproduction is a minor bye-product of sex. Sex is for enjoyment.

For those who don't believe me count up the number of times you have had sex in any shape or form. Now divide that by the number of children you have. I think you will find that reproduction is a very minor part of sex.
