Try this: Take in a deep breath.
Hold that breath.
Pinch your nose like you are going under water.
Breathe out with your nose still closed so that you will feel the air build up in your ears and open your ears.
Another way to tell you how to do this is: Gently blow your nose while your fingers are closing your nose. No need to do this quickly or with a lot of force.
This will help equalize the pressure in your eustachian tube. When the barometric pressure changes, sometimes, I get stuffy ears.
Try some decongestant nose drops in your nose. The middle ear is connected to the back of the nose by a thin channel, the Eustachian tube. So maybe if you use nose drops, the nose drops will thin mucus in your sinuses, including the ear area. Look in your mouth. If your uvula, the bell-like think that hangs down from the back center of your mouth is swollen or off-center, you may have inflammation from an allergy, infection, or too much acid in your throat. Drink hot tea to kill off germs in your sinuses, if you think you have a sinus infection going on.
If you have been having an acidic stomach, sometimes, the acid washes up in the throat and irritates the eustacian tube. Take a Pepcid or Rolaids. Rinse and gargle with 1/4 tsp of baking soda in water to neutralize the irritating acid in the throat and mouth that can effect your ear. Some foods that cause too much acid in the stomach are tomatoes, chiles, spicy foods, and milk. Eat some bananas to neutralize the acid if this is the problem.
If there is tension in your jaw from grinding your teeth or from stress, your facial muscles may be tightening and causing stuffy ears. If this is the problem, think of relaxing your muscles. Rest two fingers gently behind and beneath your ear lobe until you feel your jaw muscles relax. If the jaw is not relaxing, gently rest your fingers again along your jawline until you find the trigger point that helps your muscle relax. Use a warm compress on the jaw and ear area.
Inflammation could be your problem. Try some Tylenol to lessen the inflammation. If that doesn't work, it could be an allergy. So if the Tylenol does not work one day, try some Benadryl the next day in case the inflammation is caused by an allergy. But the Benadryl could make you sleepy.
If I were you I would not put ANYTHING in my ear without a doctor's advice. Ears are so sensitive. And Swimmer's Ear or hydrogen peroxide or other over the counter medications may not be appropriate for your problem and could cause more irritation. Only if you know for sure you have Swimmer's Ear should you use that in your ear. Hope you feel better.
If you do go to the doctor, and he wants to do something that is painful, tell him you want some strong pain medication before the procedure. Or, ask for a second opinion and find out if a painful procedure is necessary. If it is an infection, find a doctor who will prescribe antibiotics and/or antibiotic ear drops.

If you've been swimming lately or you have water in your ear you should look into swimmer's ear. Sometimes water gets trapped behind a wax build-up and causes infection and I can vouch that it's pretty excruciating pain. And won't go away too quickly without the proper ear drops. When I had it, sometimes it just got to me to be in so much pain so constantly that I would just cry from time to time. There are some over-the-counter drops as well, but I would suggest you don't go with them since without the advice of a proper doctor, you could be completely wrong about what you have. This also happened to me and I ended up making it worse with the drops I bought.
For your sake though I hope it is just an ear ache and will go away.

Could be an infection or maybe just a build up of wax or both.
Pop into to see your GP - if it's just a build up of wax he will most likely give you some ear drops to soften things up and ask you to come back the next day to get your ear syringed (it doesn't hurt at all). I had it done last year - you'll think you have superhuman hearing for an hour or so afterwards - lol.

Try to warm your ear up.... Take a heating pad or maybe even a really hot wash cloth and lay it over your ear. Just try and loosen up some of the stuff that maybe be in there!

if the pain is un bearable than maybe you should go to the hospitol.....it is probably just a really bad wax build up, or you can go see an ear, nose, and throat specialist and they will flush it out with warm water......it does not hurt at all...believe me
