Mrs Bride,
together with
Mr. Groomsdad and Mrs. Momofgroom,

Request your presence
to the marriage of
Bride & Groom

unless there are a lot of different last names and people won't know who belongs to who, then you can write:

Mrs Bride,
mother of the bride
together with
Mr. Groomsdad and Mrs. Momofgroom,
parents of the groom

If your father is alive then you may want to include his name.

John Smith and Linda Jones
together with
James and Alice Holdsworth

Today there is no correct way with so many blended families. Many brides also want to include a step parent who helped raise them or delete a parent who was not involved in their life. Some have included an aunt and uncle who really raised them.

The day is to honor the bridge and groom and their family. Who is important in your life?

I would do one of these:

Ms Jones

and

Mr House and Ms Carr

Would like the pleasure ...etc

Or,

Just put yours and your husband to be's name:

Miss Jones and Mr House would like the pleasure of your company on their wedding day...etc

Or,

Just:

You are invited to the wedding of:

Miss Jones and Mr House

etc etc

I had a similar dilema , so I just opted to put my and my husband's name on them . It was worded in a way to say that we were inviting the guests. After dealing with a wedding, little things like this can be nerve wracking, but don't let them get to you. Your invite could simply say " You are invited to attend the wedding of ....."

An easy way to get around this is:
The families of
Jane Doe
and
Joe Cool
request the honour of your presence.....
