My kid has eczema. No beans, peas, eggs and acidic food. I am out of ideas what to make. Hotdog and ham are the 2 most often snack I've gave her. She's sick of them now

I myself have eczema so, I do know your pain!

My oldest daughter has it as well...I have no idea how severe your child has it but we found the diet was less of a concern (we wouldn't let her sit and eat a pound of tomatoes or anything but still!) than the soap we used and products we used in our home...we found Aveeno really helped a lot with the itching and the steroid cream from the doctor applied to dry skin worked will...try do a yahoo search on eczema+children and you'll find millions of things...

there seems to be a real lack of information regarding diet and eczema...

try some plain cooked pasta with olive oil and sea salt and a bit of black pepper...with chicken breasts, seems unlikely but kids love it...any cooked meat, not just the processed stuff...my girl loves grilled chicken...

rice and anything is good if she can tolerate it...

Lunchables are the best of the snack-y type food out there like the other girl said...

potatoe wedges cooked in the oven, hamburgers (no condiments, very acidic)

english muffins, tortillas, breakfast cereal, plain rice cakes, (depending on how old your child is, under 5 and popcorn is a choking hazard so not a good idea) air popped popcorn, breadsticks, flatbreads...gold fish and pretzels once in a while because these are super processed foods...

...low fat pudding made with skim milk so not to trigger the eczema with dairy...jello is fun, once in awhile...

finding fruits with low acid is a real problem...try to find your child a multi vitamin that does not contain real fruit juice and you should be good to go...

dairy and acidic foods seem to be higher triggers for some kids...

The hard thing about a limited diet and children is avoiding all the processed stuff...and finding something they will eat...and avoid eggs, milk, soy, nuts and legumes like beans and peas plus, the acid-y fruits and veggies

At our house, we avoid all scented products and do not use fabric softener at all...we use those rubber balls that look like a spiky pokemon character and that kills the static in the dryer, you can find them in the laundry section at grocery and dept stores like walmart...also, a 1/2 cup vinegar in the wash rinse takes static out of clothes and leaves no smell or irritant...

We found a shampoo and body bar from www.moonsnailsoapworks.com that is made for babies but it so so mild that it does not irritate at all...it can be used on hair and body...we all use it at our house...

We also avoid wool and other coarsely made clothing...we use hypoallergenic everything...from pillows, to makeup to sunscreen to lotion (Aveeno or similar)

Mac & Cheese

5 C Lrg. Elbow Macaroni
1/2 lb. Sharp Cheddar Cheese, grated
1/2 lb. Longhorn Cheddar Cheese, grated
1/2 lb. Mexican Ranchero Cheese, crumbled
1 C Milk
1 1/2 C Crumbled Cheeto’s

Cook the Mac al dente, not quite done
Combine all the Cheeses
Layer Cheese and Mac, Cheese and Mac, (you get it)
Pour in the Milk
Top with Cheeto’s
Bake 45 min. @ 350

Im not sure what you mean by acidic foods

but have you tryed tater tot casserole or chick nuggest and fries. Mac and cheese? thigns like that? How about lunchables? my lil bro lives off those things and they arent not that bad for you

best things bout these foods easy and fit into a family wiht a low food budget!

Are we talking a meal or a snack?
Meals-tacos,meatloaf(you can make it w/o egg-it just will be crumblier),any noodle dish made with eggless noodles, hamburgers,pot roast, cheese enchiladas with green chili sauce(one can cream of mushroom soup,one can cream of chicken soup,one small can mild chopped green chili), fried chicken, roasted chicken and any and all veggies.
Snacks-cut up veggies with ranch dressing, cheese and crackers, summer sausage and crackers, bananas and nut butter, milk and cookies!
