I bought the Puma La Bamba model for track.

Will it hold up?

I would go to a store dedicated for runners. They will analyze your running style and tell you what shoe you should get for what you're using it for.

People can recommend shoes, and they might be good shoes, but they might not run the way you do or might not be using the shoes for the same thing. That would nullify people's recommendations online.

Your coach could probably tell you what kind of runner you are, pronator, overpronator or what not. However, they are probably not as familiar with what the many different available brands have for your running style.

In general I don't like puma. They don't have a good shoe designing staff. There shoes look good, but can be bad for you to run in. If you are looking for spikes then look for the lightest shoe that you feel comfortable in. I have used Nike in the past, but brooks and asics make good shoes too.

I'd go to a sports store and look for running shoes. Even though pumas look like running shoes, they are more for looks and don't have the support to hold up for a season.

Ask your coach, but Puma isn't the first brand I would get for running. They are more trendy, street-type shoes.

You should ask your Track coach just in case they arent okay to use for track, because some shoes are illegal in track.
