i guess you could say that i have the "hots" for my best guy friend we flirt all the time people think we are going out. we have been friends for about five years and i can talk to him about anything. i mean this kid went in and bought me tampons when i couldnt get out of the car because i had cramps. he pays for me all the time he wont let me pay. we are basically always together when my friends say that we s hould go out he does this little laugh. he means so much to me and if he dosent feel the same way i dont wanna mess things up at all. how do i tell him that i have more than just friends feelings?

Well sweetie he probably feels the same way, but if he hasn't said anything to you about it I wouldn't say anything. If he feels the same way let him say something, that way you can assure him that you feel the same way. If you really can't wait, why don't you just ask him why you two never went out. Sometimes that takes the pressure off, just makes it seem pretty random. You can ask a hypothetical question, using both of your guys' middle names, and then see what he says. Make sure you stretch that if he doesn't feel the same way that isn't a problem and that you still want to keep his friendship. Because you love him and you want to be in his life even if it's not romantically. Just make sure you're reading the clues right, and not reading too far between the lines into what he means. Good luck babe!

it's a tough one because after 5 years your relationship has quite stratified into place. The question is *do* you really have such feelings for him or is he just a comfortable person to have around? There are so many ways to ruin this amazing friendship. I'd ask it very casually if he ever saw you two together and if he says no just not bring it up anymore...keep it low key and non-dramatic. If he thinks it's make or break and doesn't feel the same you'll lose everything you have together...

Be honest with him abt ur feelings, who knows he might have the same for u and also having the same kind of feelings of being afraid to lose such a gd friend. Be prepared tho if he just wanna be friends...so its basically up to u now.

Believe me --- you don't want to say a word!!!! He will let you know when and if he's ready to go a step further in the relationship.
