If you're young, then yes expect to grow out of it. It could be that you like these guys, but when you get to meet the real them, you loose interest. Take your time, he'll come.

In all honesty, this is normal human behaviour. Your friends are only partially correct when they tell you that 'you are only in it for the chase'. We, as humans, most frequently want what we either can't have, or what is difficult for us to posess. The most likely reason that you are 'over him' once you ascertain that the affection is mutual is that there is no longer any mystery or challenge. The solution? Resolve to find EVERYTHING out about your beau. Learn every facet of his life. The time you spend doing this will endear him to you even more, and should preclude your previous reaction. Hope this helps you... it's how I met my wife. ;-)

Sometimes when you get to know someone, they are not what you thought or hoped they would be. This can happen with anyone, whether they are classmates, friends or boyfriends. Don't beat yourself up over it - one day you will probably go out with a number of guys who keep your interest.

People who said' your only in it for the chase"
that means you only chasing after hot boys and don't want anything thing to do with them, sorry for saying this but I the reason why I said this is because I knew girls like that and they don't really end up having a cheerful ending doing this so please stop before it's to late!!!
Bye!!!

Sometimes, that is just how life is. People want what they can't have and at times, they never really thought of it. You can't take it personal and act like the world is going to end. You just have to keep trying and keep at it.

Ok, try not to take this as an insult.
I don't think you see your worth, you think he is wimpy for liking you, so you lose interest rapidly. Just my opinion, I see little reason why this should happen to you otherwise. Recognize your self worth and don't label guys as being worth less if they like you.

you're a chase junkie- it's cool me too. who wants something that you obtain too easily? and who wants something that doesnt amount to the chase? when a girl likes me and i havent put too much effort into it i wonder what's so insecure about her that she clings to me so fast- even though i know I'm worth it.
you're going to get married and as a result it will be with someone worth your time and worth the chase because you have standards.

Don't worry about it, you're much too young for boys.
Finish high school and college, get your M.A or PhD, establish financial security for yourself, then you can worry about getting a boyfriend.
