I'm not sure what these guys actually took, but it was likely something other than creatine. Creatine is not steroids, which has been shown to cause mood swings or bad health.

There's been a LOT of studies done on creatine and very few bad side-effects have been shown. Creatine is a natural product that is produced by the human body to help supply nutrients to cells, is found in many different meats and other foods, and for bodybuilders and other athletes, it becomes depleted, hence the desire for the supplement.

One side-effect is something called "creatine bloat". It's a water bloat caused by the hydration effect of the creatine in cells. It's not really harmful but some people may not like how this looks.

If someone seems to be having a bad reaction to the product, they may need to look into what else it contains. Perhaps switching to another product will help. Ive been using it for years and have had no bad side-effects. It's very helpful in making strength and muscle gains.

My boyfriend took Creatine for a little while, and he had HUGE mood swings. His whole family recognized it and so did he. He stopped taking it. I have also heard that once your stop working out, the weight you packed on from the creatine, turns to fat...but don't quote me on that. The bad moods though, I witnessed.
