No. I would learn about the person then decide if it is worth going further. There are so many reason's people divorce. It may have been the only thing to do. Everyone makes bad decisions. This should not follow her the rest of her life. I guess what I am trying to say is don't just see her as a divorced woman. Get to know her as a person. Then make your decisions based on her.

Maybe my personal story will help . . . I'm a single (never married), outgoing, sociable woman. I had my reservations about divorced men, and meeting people on-line at first, but then I met a wonderful divorced man on Yahoo Personals. We've been together for over 2 yrs now & I'm happier than I've ever been. Each situation has its own pro's & con's, but wouldn't turn down the chance for happiness just due to being divorced or on personals site, without learning more. Good luck!

It would be a bad idea if she was still married. If she is divorced and single again what is the harm? I don't see any. People go through things in life and everything doesn't always work out so why hold it against her. Divorcees need love too. If you was a divorcee how would it make you feel if people judged you for it. In a situation like this that doesn't make you comfortable you can always be friends with someone first and foremost, get to know them better and take it from there.

I think it is okay, becuase 70% of marriages now end in divorce so the numbers are there that most people will be divorced. Also,if a woman has not been married by about 35, she is set in her ways and will have difficulty in life trying to adapt to a husband roomate. There is a reaso that they were not married.

Good question and one that Christ answered for us. If a women or man committed adultery, then their spouse must remarry before they can move on to another commitment. No, it is not true that those who failed their marriage will always fail them. That is what Jesus calls a lie from the devil and foolishness. It denies the truth of failing marriages. In short, either a man or woman that is divorced must be free before they can remarry if they were the one unfaithful. But one can remarry anytime if they were faithful. Find out if her x remarried and be sure! It is certainly OK to date and marry a divorced lady. God bless. Earl

I think it is great to get to know all kinds of people. Are you asking her to date you? How do YOU feel about dating a divorced woman? What problems do you have will it? The divorce could have been her cheating husbands fault. JUDGING already/ forget about it! Don't screw her life up anymore with your problems!

I'd stay away, but that's just me personally. Why? Well, there are just so many variables. I don't want a lot of extra baggage. It also depends on the circumstances. If she got divorced cause her husband was a totally d!ck, that's different I guess.

Everything you do carries risks. If you are talking about having a real relationship with someone, there is no good or bad way to do it. You just have to follow your instincts and hope for the best.
Think about the other ways that people try to find someone social.
Singles bars, on-line dating, social clubs, pubs/bars, dating services, etc... Are they any better or worse?

Ithink that trying to get to know anyone on a personals site is a bad idea. Instead of sitting in front of a computer, maybe people should try leaving their house and meeting real people...? Wow! What a crazy idea!!!
