Seriously... donut shops were once one of the FEW places that would be open in the midnight-6am timeframe for the night-shift... patrolmen would stop at the bakery or donut shop for a snack.

Also, donuts keep well and go GREAT with coffee.

Actually the Donut shops give them free donuts for shooting the hole in the middle for them. It work well for both. The Policemen get target practice and the donuts get holes. ;-)

I don't know ...... I was married to a policeman for 20 years, and I never knew him (or any of his fellow officers) to eat any.

I guess it's just stereotyping and generalizing

Police officers do alot more than that, I'm sick of people disrespecting officers, I'm sure there are some out there who are no good, just like everyone else...

and anyone who has had "a problem" with a police officer, probably deserved.....quit breaking the laws, then no one will give you a "problem...
