I agree with thewholeeight. I spent a long time in college to get a degree, and I'll be damned if I lose a job to someone who stole their degree. GREAT analogy!
I can see where the legal Mexicans are coming from. They spend a lot of time waiting for their papers. They spend a lot of money on immigration lawyers to get their papers in order. They make the trips to the US Embassy in Mexico to get their visas. And then for a hundred Mexicans to jump the border illegally, and when they get here they take the jobs the legals ones are coming here for? Personally, if I were a legal Mexican immigrant, I would be insulted that one of my own countrymen would STEAL something that I worked so hard to get. And furthermore, I'd be worried that even though I was a legal immigrant, I'd still be lumped with the illegals and denied things that I AM entitled to as a legal immigrant, because it's assumed that I'm an illegal.
I also have a few friends who are legal immigrants from Mexico, and it bothers them that they have less rights than do the illegal border crossers. They feel the illegal border crossers should have no rights because the illegals haven't worked for their rights like the legal immigrants have.

Who said illegal immigration is OK?
Were I a legal Mexican immigrant, I would be very annoyed by the illegals because the illegals would bring grief down upon me.

Well they should. The illegals presence here demeans their chances of fair treatment in this country. Many legal Americans are fit to be tied by the illegals from Mexico ...and sadly most will treat ALL who look Mexican as illegals.
One more of many wrong fausted upon America because of illegal entry.

I think it's funny that people cite an anecdote like this and assume that it defines the entire illegal immigration issue. It happens a lot on this board.

Yes i have noticed this as well and even asked a Mexican Friend of mine one time "he said it is because they do not respect them for circumventing the system when it was so hard for them to get the same thing legally" it's a respect issue for him and i have told him that that makes perfect sense to me....

If you went to college for four years, and got a diploma, wouldn't you be a little pissed at the guy who stole the piece of paper and wrote his name on it?

Apparently not all Mexicans meet eye to eye. How sad for the rest of them. They need as much support as they can get when there is Americans who do not value other peoples life and plan to shoot them.
